In this era of globalization, media is a tool for everyone to share and look for the latest information. Different information are being shared in the internet, some are helpful but some may be harmful. Nowadays, kids are spending so much time on a variety of media including television programs, social websites, video games and so on. Things they learned from the media can positively or negatively affect them. So, I would like to talk about the dangerous of media on our children.
Firstly, children may think violence is normal. Many movies and video games contain violence content and the children may not be able to differentiate between reality and fantasy. So, they will think that violence is normal. Besides, children's misunderstanding of sexual messages. They will be confused of this type of contents since they are just discovering their sexuality. Moreover, they may suffer from health problems. When they are addicted to video games, they will spend most of their time on it and rarely go for exercise.
By solving these problems, parents should give more attention on their children. They must know what are their children doing. If they are spending too much time on television or video games, parents can make a timetable to limit their time on it. Parents should also educate their children on what is right and wrong before they done anything wrong. Besides, for people who want to share information on the internet should check whether the information they are sharing is appropriate or not before publishing. Furthermore, government should also raise awareness of the effect of media by helding campaign and give punishments for those who spread inappropriate content online.
